Gulf South Historical Review
Gulf South Historical Review is the official organ of the Gulf South Historical Association and a prominent publisher of Gulf South and Caribbean Basin history and culture.
The Gulf South Historical Review is published two times a year by the Gulf South Historical Association, which has its editorial and administrative offices at the Center for Southeast Louisiana Studies, Southeastern Louisiana University.
Submissions:
To submit an article for consideration, please contact Keith Finley at: [email protected]. Preferred manuscript length is 25-30 pages (double-spaced), exclusive of footnotes. Illustrations–photographs, drawings, maps, tables–that enhance the article should be included and placed in the text. The Chicago Manual of Style should be followed for grammar and formatting footnotes. Submissions are peer-reviewed to determine whether to accept for publication.
Book Reviews:
The following types of books will be reviewed in Gulf South Historical Review:
1. Those relating to Gulf South and Caribbean Basin history, in its broadest sense.
2. Significant works in Southern history.
3. Outstanding general works on American history.
